On Fri 23 Feb Glovebox presented our very first event at The Jericho Tavern where the likes of Radiohead, Ride, Supergrass and Foals played early gigs.

The Last Dinosaur (whose album The Nothing is still one of my faves in recent months) were the act (wonderfully supported by Sam Martin) and although attendance was low (no change there then - Ed) it turned out to be quite a special night. The 'crowd' included a group booking of young girls who were celebrating a birthday.

My heart sank when in they strolled in with a helium balloon in tow all chatter and giggles. And although they parked themselves by the bar and proceeded to talk loudly through most of Sam's set they DID get into the evening later which was helped greatly by TLD's frontman Jamie having the inspired notion of dedicating all their songs to the birthday girl (Michelle).

We encouraged the audience right to the front and created an intimate atmosphere that was akin to a house concert, but in a venue. A strange, but ultimately ethereal evening.

Argentinian born Malena Zavala releases her album Aliso on April 13. Today's TunA is lifted from it.

A featured TunA artist from early March this reminds us of Journey to Cassiopeia by Hannah Peel which was one of our albums of 2017. Neo-classical is what the hipsters call it..we think!! No CD but vinyl.
